ROPES OF FLINT AND STARS 2026 23rd May 2-5pm UK time Each year, I run a three-hour workshop, to which ALL are welcome, in which I explore what's happening in my poetics this year. What have I learned? What am I interested in? What's changed? What's brewing? Through exercises and conversation, we'll be honing our craft and doing some of the soul-work required to get to the language that has lifeforce. In between balancing the various challenges of being a human living in 2026, trying to be a half-decent father, tending alive and genuine relationships with other humans, and running a small press and poetry magazine, I try to find time to write. Often it's in the early hours of the morning, or recorded while I'm driving back from dropping my sons at school, or at their mum's. There's new work happening all the time, but it's always squeezed in the gaps. Money's too tight to allow for any more than that. I've got a lot of followers on social media these days. People love some of my work. What a rare honour that is! And, we're all getting poorer by the day.
